EXOTIC POLE: Mondays 18h45

  • Learn a sensual exotic pole choreography, with an emphasis on elements of dance, musicality, fluidity within tricks and transitions, body awareness and improving confidence.

  • What you will need (options as substitutes in brackets): a mat (towel, rug) + 2 yoga blocks (books, foam roller, firm pillows) + theraband (stockings, an old pair of leggings) + ankle weights (tinned food, a heavy clutch or small handbag, a full water bottle)

FLOOR FLOW: Wednesdays 19h00

  • Exotic and contemporary flows, including the breaking down of specific floor tricks, technique and skills used in both styles.

  • What you will need: a small floor space + socks + long pants to help you slide.

FRIDAY FUNDAMENTALS: Fridays 12h00

  • Build an authentic, strong and safe yoga practice through meditative, stretch, strength and breath work combined in dynamic sequences. We will also be going through beginner inversions and balances in this class.

INTERMEDIATE POLE: Wednesdays 17h30 | Thursdays 12h00 | Saturdays 09h00

  • Pole fitness for Intermediate 1 level and above. Must be able to invert to attend this class.

  • Suitable for everyone and all levels, including non-pole dancers.

POWER FLOW: Tuesdays 12h00

  • What you will need (options as substitutes in brackets): a mat (towel, rug) + long pants + a small space to move in. The following may not all be used in every session, but have them handy: yoga blocks (books) / theraband (stockings, an old pair of leggings) / weights (tinned food, a full water bottle) / a step or low chair / a wall or the back of a couch / kneepads.

SUNDAY SOULFLOW: Sundays 10h00

  • Wind-down, calm down and cheer up with a moody moving meditation. This yin yoga practice is sure to insulate you in a bubble of your own breath, with nourishing and restorative deep dives into postures with the sole / soul (heh) intent of flushing the lymphatic system, increasing lung capacity and calming the mind.
  • Open to all levels.
  • Please practise on a mat / towel, with a pillow (and optionally a light blanket) handy.

HOW IT WORKS

Members may continue using their existing memberships to sign up for classes. For new students, or students who may not wish to use existing contracts, our rates are:

– R100 for a drop-in

– R400 for 5 classes

– R700 for 10 classes

Email the studio on info@thepoleproject.co.za to book your online class, make payment and send us your POP. You will receive a link to the online class a couple of hours before it starts.

Our online classes are hosted on Zoom, so it works similarly to a Skype call, where you’ll have to be attending “live”. We can send you a link to the class recording after the class if you miss the class or would like to refer back later, although you have to be booked in for that particular class. The downloadable link is only available for 12 hours after the class ends.
